Our Aims

Our aim is to build a community of balboa dancers who share our love for this dance. We do this by holding lessons on a weekly basis, hosting practice sessions and regular dances (many with live music), and arranging a variety of workshops throughout the year with the very best international standard teachers. Please see our calendar for the dates.

Our social dances are open to all levels and styles of dancers, and we encourage other dance styles to join in.  We welcome new faces and experienced dances alike so please do drop in to see what is happening.


Balboa Classes

Live Music and Dances

We have been teaching weekly classes of Balboa in Gloucestershire since 2003 during which time Bal has grown from from 4 people dancing Bal, to today when it is not unusual for nearly everyone socially dancing Balboa during the evening.

Come and learn Balboa where you’ll dance to the great classics from the swing era as well as more modern tunes. It’s fun, sociable and easy to learn. No partner or dance experience necessary as we’ll start from the basics and soon have you social dancing and impressing your friends.

Balboa in Cheltenham since 2003.  Balboa classes, are held weekly and Balboa dances are held regularly often with live bands.   Balboa in Gloucestershire at all levels, beginners, balboa,  improvers balboa, intermediate Balboa, and advanced balboa. People come to our classes from Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud, Bishops Cleeve, Churchdown, Tewkesbury, Worcester Birmingham, Bath, Ross on Wye areas.
